The Ion Blaster reappeared in the flash versions of The Next Wave and Revenge of the Yolk. Its appearance is still used as the default color in Revenge of the Yolk onwards, in case a Gift doesn't have any weapon assigned to it. ![]() This gift gives no points, and it is the only way to upgrade firepower, as Atomic Powerups does not exist at this point. The gift uses a much different design, with the box having a dark green color, and the ribbon being red. The first version of the Ion Blaster gift existed in Chicken Invaders (DX Version), as it is the only weapon available. ![]() Ion Blaster Gift Chicken Invaders (DX Version) Gifts exist for each weapon, except for the Moron Railgun. The only weapon that does not have a gift is the Moron Railgun. In case you collect a Gift that has the same weapon as the one you hold, you will gain a firepower level. In Universe, each gift gives 8000 points, while in the episodes, it's different for each gift. Once collected, your weapon will be changed to the one the Gift contained. Other bosses may also drop them upon their death. Certain bosses such as the Giant Robotic Space Crab or the Henterprise may drop Gifts during their fights. That number can be increased up to 5 if more players are present. Up to two Gifts are able to spawn per wave in regular waves (only one if an Atomic Powerup has already appeared). The Gifts can spawn out of most enemies and bosses in the series. The ribbon material was improved in Ultimate Omelette. Gifts were redesigned in Revenge of the Yolk. In Chicken Invaders and The Next Wave, the ribbon design was much simpler. ![]() The color of the box and the ribbon differs between Gifts. Gifts are boxes with ribbons wrapped on them. ![]()
